Description: Vintage 1940s (?) handbag. It is old,so please expect condition in keeping with its age. The handbag is stiff, structured. The interior is some kind of poly vinyl and in good condition. I see no stains, rips, or tears on the inside. The clasp works well.the exterior is a needlepoint fabric, some of which has been stitched into floral shapes with yarn, otherwise covered with a scattering of glass seed beads, felt and metal leaf shapes. The beads and embellishments appear to be glued on, not sewn. It is probable a lot have fallen off over the years. The gold covered handle is stiff and cracking. I purchased this with the intent of re-doing it. Alas, I have too many projects and way too many things. No more room in the house, so I am trying to reduce my collections. I also have numerous antique purses for sale, so check out my other listings. Has a slight musty odor, but has been in storage many years. 23” wide x 10” high x 3.5” deep.
