Description: Vintage solid sterling silver large (approx. 1 7/8" tall with rotating bale; weight approx. 4.3 g) Crucifix pendant featuring plain and humble right-angled design with a high-relief detailed iconic depiction of the Crucified Savior. The reverse displays hand-engraved inscription of the traditional Orthodox prayer in Church Slavonic meaning "Save and Protect" incorporated into the horizontal crossbar. The prayer reminds us that Christ the Savior is with us to save and protect a person wearing the cross from every evil and all enemies visible and invisible. The back side of the large rotating necklace bale bears two punch marks, one of which displays the "925" hallmark indicating the "sterling" purity. It has been confirmed using the silver acid test. The pendant has vintage or antique appearance with signs of aging and wear that might include diminished quality of the artwork, deformations of its original shape, scratches, dents, and patches of discoloration/patina.
