Description: This Taos Pueblo soup / bean pot with lid has been hand coiled and outdoor fired (which caused the fire clouds on the surface). I see some specks of gold mica in the clay. The body of the pot measures 8" across and is 5 1/4" high. With the lid and the handles it measures 8" tall and 9 1/4" across. I don't see any signs of use. The indentation in the lid is to allow a ladle and the two "handles also look to possibly be a place for a spoon or ladle to rest. It's a heavy thick clay pot. It weighs 5 lbs, 5 oz. This vintage pot is in great condition.
