Description: A striking pair of handblown white and purple swirled glass vases, made in the region of Empoli, near Florence, Italy. Although very similar in form and style to glassware by Vetreria Barbieri(V.B. opaline Florence), this pattern has now been identified as being made by Vetreria Artistica Sanminiatello(V.A.S.), a glass factory in Montelupo, a few km from Empoli. This information comes from the facebook group Murano Glass/Italian Art Glass, Empoli, for GLGD. Condition is Excellent no chips or cracks. One have has slight grove lines that twist along the neck the other is completely smooth. That is common in this design. See last photo They are 10" tall, the bulb of the vase is 5" in diameter & 10.5" in Circum., the base of the vase is 2.5" in diameter, and the mouth is 1.75" in diameter. . The bases are purple then the purple glass is swirled into white milk glass. They are similar but not exactly the same. Beautiful! I pack with care so you items will arrive safely.
