Vintage Vinyl 3" Kewpie Cupie Doll Hand Crocheted Green Outfit Unknown Maker

Description: This is a tiny baby Kewpie doll! It is 3 inches tall to the top of its head. I think it looks like it could be either a boy or a girl. The legs are rigid, but the arms and head rotate. The doll tends to fall over if you try to have it stand. I did not find a mark indicating where it was made The width from hand to hand is 2 3/4 inches. The doll weighs .9 ounce dressed. There is a black dot (ink?) on the back of the doll's head. That is covered with the crocheted cap. There is a minuscule light blue dot above the nose. It was very hard to get the outfit off and harder to put it back on. You may want to consider the outfit as permanent. I had to bend the arms to get the straps on. The arms feel like it would not take much to make them fall off. This toy is probably not suited for young children or babies. The cap and jumpsuit are all one piece -- the cap is sewn to the back of the outfit. The eyebrows are little dashes of reddish paint. It almost looks like somebody marked on the doll, but I believe that is how it was made. The color matches the hair color. The doll has little wing bumps on the shoulders.
