In Greek mythology: When Theseus came to Crete, Ariadne fell in love with him and offered to help him to disclose the way out of the Labyrinth if he would take her to Athens and make her his wife. He agreed. But after he left Crete, he deserted her in Naxos. She was found by Dionysus 2 who fell in love with her.
