Description: G5.. up for a buy now auction is a Military Issue M1 Garand Bayonet with Scabbard. This is a Vintage bayonet and scabbard set. At the end of WW2 1945.The US Sent these knifes over to Italy. Thy serial numbered the hilt and took off all US marks on the blade. If you take the grips off you will see the US Mold numbers on the inside of the grips. The scabbards were made by the Italians and thy used their belt hanger. The bayonet was used but is still in usable condition and ready to be put onto the end of your M1 Garand. This type of knife/bayonet will attach onto the front of a M1 Garand lug. The bayonet and scabbard have seen use and shows ware from use. The bayonets were packed in grease for a very long time. Thy have been in storage for years and reflect that. Some of the blades and scabbards still have grease packed in the corners. The lockup of the blade and scabbards are tight. There is still dirt and grease presant. This is a used bayonet and scabbard as you can see in my pictures. If you buy now you will get the bayonet and scabbard "Set" Pictured.
