After living in New York City for twenty years, Collins now resides in the North Fork of Long Island, where nature has impacted his work in notable ways. He continues to respond to his immediate surroundings, incorporating direct landscape elements into his paintings. Collins received his BFA from The Rhode Island School of Design 1988. He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally in museums and galleries. His work is represented by Kenise Barnes Fine Art in New York, Valley House Gallery in Texas, and Susan Eley Fine Art in New York. Among his many distinctions, Collins has been honored with fellowships at Yaddo and the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop. His work is held in many public and private collections including the United States Department of State, the Library of Congress, the University of Iowa, and the University of Texas Southwest Medical Center.
