This is a beautiful work of art! Lithophane means "Vision in Stone" and was first invented in France in 1827. These night lights were made by The Porcelain Garden and are known as "Virgin with Angels." They are a picture of the Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus (Christ) with a host of Angels looking on. We have the night lights in stock in two different styles - Curved Uncolored (NR23) and Flat Uncolored (N23). Each night light is on a curved or flat (depending on style), porcelain panel approximately 3.5-inches wide by 4.5-inches tall. These are uncolored night lights. When the light is off, you only see a piece of white, etched porcelain. The dark border you see in the picture is actually natural porcelain that has not been etched. When the light is on, you see a beautiful picture with unbelievable details. Great Baby Shower, birthday or anniversary gift! Each night light comes with an electrical plug that holds the panel in place with two plastic screws. The plug can be mounted on the panel on either the top or the bottom, depending on the outlet that will be used. A 110-volt, 7-watt nightlight bulb and assembly instructions are included with each boxed night light. Because these night lights are made of the best porcelain, they are very fragile. Each night light is inspected and tested before we ship it. The night lights are then packed in a larger box and surrounded with protective padding such as bubble wrap, styrofoam peanuts or other packing material. Each night light is sold separately.
