The car was the first European implementation with the 2-3-0 wheel arrangement, well known in the US but not yet used in Italy. The aim was to be able to increase the size of the boiler and furnace, with more power developable without increasing too much the axle weight, which would not have been sustainable from dilapidated railways Italian time. The locomotive that resulted was very beautiful and technically sound so much that, in 1885 to take over the Mediterranean Network, the project was carried out and between 1886 and 1896 there were built another 54 units, giving rise to the group RM 300. ------------------------------------------- Models sold by us are brand new made of metal and plastic.
