Description: Large heavy paper needle book titled "The Victory ", with 3 horses and their jockeys getting ready to race on one side and 4 race horses and jockeys in the middle of a race on the other side. Flat bottom and sides and rounded top and measuring approx 6 5/8" x 4 3/4, opening to extend to 9 1/2". Found inside the needle book are beautiful needles, but some are missing. On the bottom of the outside folder where the 3 horses appear, it says Registered Germany. Undated but my research has me guessing that this is from the early 1920's but it could be earlier based on the clothing found on the horse riders. The art work and color combinations is striking. Condition is very good, with the side showing the 4 horses having a small crease in the top-next to the word Victory. Also a few of the needles have made minor marks on the 4 horse side. Only one like it on ebay. This is a unique and special needle book not seen before.
