I cut this specimen specifically to look like a quartz volcano with bands of red that look like lava. This piece even has actual volcanic crust. Inclusions are also clearly visible in this translucent specimen. It was heated and soaked in mineral oil to give it a glossy look. It will stand out as a showpiece in any collection. It is not only is a striking piece specimen but a piece of art. The colors can not be adequately photographed to give an appropriate appreciation of how striking they are.
