Description: These are two works by acclaimed writer and Nobel Prize winner, V.S. Naipaul. They have been in my collection for a number of years. India: A Wounded Civilization and The Writer and the World are non-fiction reflections based on his travels throughout the world including India. The book India is in very good + condition with slight cover corner wear. The pages are clean. The Writer and the World is in acceptable condition with considerably more wear than India but in reasonably good nick overall. The spine is intact as are all the pages, no markings but the front and back covers show signs of wear around the corners with a slight tear away from the spine at the bottom of the back cover. The pages look aged - perhaps their color has faded. And while the pages don't show the classic signs of foxing (rust streaks from a chemical in the paper) the book has that classic used book smell. The pages are perfectly readable though some have a dog-eared crease at the top or bottom of the page. I offer this 2 book bundle at a competitive price with free shipping and tracking via USPS Media Mail. The books are shipped out in a poly bubble mailer.
