Description: 1940's box purse with Bakelite handle and faux tortoiseshell top, and cut-out brass sides. This was old when I played dress-up with it in the 1960's. Measures about 6-1/2" long x 3-1/4" wide x 2-3/4" tall, with round feet. The brass finish has some scuffs, scratches and some wear, the Bakelite lid has small chips on two corners and surface scuffs, the handle is very good, the hinge-pins have been replaced, and the fabric covered cardboard liner has soil.
