Description: Here is a 1950's Howdy Doody collectible "official outdoor sports to box" in very good shape. This box lid say copyrate by Kagran, but was made by the Liberty Steel Chest Corp. or Rochester, New York (maker's label inside of top lid). Exterior has cartoon images of Howdy Doody and friends enjoying fishing with a large smiling image of H.D. in the center. Forest green base and interior. Has carrying handle and a push-button latch. NBC broadcast the Howdy Doody show from 1947 to 1960. It pioneered color TV production in 1956, and was used to market color TV's. Condition: Very good giftable condition. Not 100% perfect, with very minor issues relate to age and use. Most notable issue is paint loss on lid interior, where a small lid crease is most visible (not particularly noticeable looking from exterior). Interior box corners & edge corrosion. Latch, push button, and hinges open and close as they should. Handle swings freely. Graphics substantially intact without major chips or erosion, scratches, or blemishes. However, there are a few paint losses on corners and edges, and small metal bends in back edge as photographed. Light surface corrosion and rust. Original manufacturer's label on lid interior. No pings, dings, dents, bashes, flat spots, carbon spots, gauges, unusual scratches, or other mentionable issues.Dimensions: 14" Long x 6” Wide x 3” Deep. Unpacked weight: 1 pound, 5 oz.
