Vtg 1950s Tin Friction Toy / Jeep AAA Emergency Utility Truck / AHI Japan Litho

Description: Here is a mid 1950s A. H. I. Toys made in Japan AAA Emergency Utility Truck tin-litho friction toy in beautiful original condition. Condition is "used". The only thing that isn't original on this toy is the bell rope attached to the driver's arm. It has been replaced with a more recent piece of synthetic cordage. Fortunately, it's the same color as the original and suits the toy very well. This truck has been played with but not very much. There are a few rub marks and a couple chips in the paint on an edge or corner, here and there, but the visible wear is very light and the colors still shine with a glossy finish. The plastic dome for the barber stripe spinning light on top has a crack in it, but it is not broken and still holds firmly in its fitting. The friction motor works perfectly and still spins the light on the cab. When you run the motor there is an intermittent bell that rings loudly and clearly, just as well as it did when new more than 60 years ago. The model for this toy is the cab forward Jeep FC that was popular during the 1950s and 1960s. This is a great piece for any tin toy collector or Jeep enthusiast!
