Description: Vintage 1970s Über Romantic Bridal White Lacy Prairie Gown With High Waist, Beaded Bib and Long Sheer Sleeves Size 2/3 (XS)! Gorgeous vintage 1970s romantic prairie gown features a Victorian high collar, lacy and seed-beaded bib, and long, puffy, chiffon sleeves. Sleeves are cinched at the wrists with lacy cuffs. The body is bright white chiffon layered acetate with a high waist (not quite empire, but not at natural waist either), accented with a satin ribbon.The skirt is long and flounced. Zips in back. Breathtakingly romantic! This vintage ‘70s prairie gown is in very good to excellent condition. It shows almost no wear – was probably worn once or twice, then put in the closet for 50+ years. The fabric is sound, and it has all its original hooks and eyes and buttons and do-dads. It needs to be dry cleaned but is not stained. Zipper works fine. There is no size tag so please see my measurements to ensure it fits – there is no stretch in the fabric! I judge this gown to be a modern size is 2/3. The limiting measurement is the high waist. While it is not a true empire waist (around the ribs), it still looks high to me and so please make sure that right below the ribs you can fit a 27”, totally-not-forgiving, measurement.
