The frame and back are in very nice condition. Odor free.This is a photographic print, not a mechanical reproduction. You can see a bit of silvering when you tilt it, and it is definitely a continuous tone image, no dots. Image measures approximately 9.5 x 7.6 inches, edge to edge. The frame measures approximately 17 x 14.5 inches and appears to be oak. The frame and tin backing are fairly new. The photo is pasted directly on the inner mat. I suspect the whole assemblage was cut from an antique scrapbook and framed relatively recently. I think the image is 1910s-1920s from the clothing and hats. Notice that one guy is holding his knife out behind the head of the man to his his right, toward the deer's throat. Those two look like brothers to me.
