This treasure was probably created in the 1950's or even earlier. Love the sturdy decorative paper box (note: white paper remnant from where original price tag probably was) the set is encased in; shuts tightly. Today, Japan does not make this type of box to secure its contents. Further, the silver tone metal has oxidized some due to age by the hinges on each side of this lovely treasure.
