Description: Vintage Painted JAPAN HINA DOLL CARRIAGE Gold Furniture AccessoryJapanese Black LaquerwareFor Repair or Parts This is a beautiful item for a Japanese Hina doll. It is a very ornate gold and black lacquerware palanquin ~ a hand-carried carriage. It might also make a pretty piece of luggage in an American dollhouse. It is handpainted with gold designs, and has silver colored corner pieces; I do not think it opens. It is attached to a stand which is missing some parts. A photo is shown of a similar piece, so you can see how it originally looked. Included is a red piece which looks like a screen ~ this likely goes on the roof of the carriage. The two small benches are supports for the carriage, underneath. The stand is missing the two side posts. One hinge on the red screen-like roof piece is missing a screw, and a second screw comes out, so it needs a hinge re-attached. It has extra tassels which probably hung on the missing support posts. There is also a large square box, which I think must go to another set. Please ask questions if needed and expect some wear due to age. My house burned down in a California wildfire with no insurance. I lost a large inventory of clothing and antiques I had painstakingly repaired and modeled for my ebay store, OutofthisWorldVintage.
