This is a very beautiful vintage handmade seagrass long, oval or oblong-shaped heavy-weaved basket with two solid maple horizontal rope-wrapped carrying handles. The weaving technique is very high-quality, with black metal used to weave the basket and make it more sturdy and durable, reinforcing the weight of whatever is being carried or placed in it. This could be used with some decorative fruit or balls, artificial greenery, or it could even be used as a bread serving basket. This is in very good condition, there is only one small barely-noticeable part of weaving in the bottom center of the basket (see last two photos) that is loose. This really is a very nice basket, excellent quality and aesthetic. Measures 15” L x 7” W x 4.25” H.
