Striking hand crafted pendant is particularly collectable because of a mis-stamping on the reverse. There are two stampings of his iconic conjoined FB (on one of those the top of the B is partially in a cutout area. See close up photo.) There is a third stamping that appears to be a sort of double stamping that looks like FFB. Also on the back is a deep stamping that appears to have something marked inside which I cannot make out. It may be 925, though Bergmann's work was often not marked silver. Although I cannot see a for-sure sterling mark, item has tested as sterling silver. I believe this is an early example of his work. Pendant is a cutout stylized heart with a center modernist design. Dangling at the bottom is a teardrop cultured pearl. Chain is a 30 inch box style which is not original to the pendant, and is marked 925 Italy. Stunning and collectible piece is in excellent vintage condition with a darkened patina of age.
