Choctaw Artist Signed ARTHUR ART LEWIS (NEETHA LOOSA) (1912-1980) Art started silversmithing when he was 17 years old in 1929. He cut his own turquoise stones and learned silversmithing using the bellows and charcoal forge method; but eventually switched to a blow torch. His residences floated between Phoenix, Tuscon and Scottsdale, AZ as well as Colorado Springs, CO and Taos, NM. Hi Choctaw name was Neetha Loosa (Black Bear). His hallmark is an arrow and a teepee.
