Description: The item is sold as is, as found, and as you see it. The sale is for a vtg stoneware lidded jar with a maybe light gray base glazed color and blue and purple drips design. The item is in good condition with age related issues. The purple glazed lid with maybe dark gray patches and speckled effect. Knob like lid design. The underside is unglazed like area. Purple and gray like lid and inside lid cavity. The bottom has a collared like rim with a blue drip like design with purple mixed in places and blue and purple on inside as well. Some areas outside may have a faint brown tinged glaze. The brown can be in spots where there is gray background. Sometimes I cant tell if the gray is the glaze or base that has a glossed over coating. Flaws in glaze and in pottery. Pinholes, lumps bumps spots and dots that are made that way. Being a handmade piece, anything goes. The underside, an etched mark, I think its BP initials. Some hatch marks, cant say if it signifies anything. Cool piece, nice color combination. See all pics for they are part of description. May have other issues not mentioned but mentioned most significant.
