Description: This listing is for a rare Weil Ware ginger or temple jar with lid, made in California in the 1930s. The jar is decorated in the textural Ming Tree pattern with the trees are done in cream or off white in a raised textured pattern on a deeper green background. PLEASE NOTE: GREEN COLOR IS SOLID AND DOES NOT SHADE LIGHTER ON THE SIDES AS IT APPEARS IN SOME OF THE PICTURES. COLOR IN FIRST PICTURE IS MOST ACCURATE FOR ENTIRE JAR & LID. The interior of both the lid and body of the jar are done in a cream color. The piece measures approximately 8" tall to top of lid on jar x 5.75" in diameter at the widest point of the body. It is stamped Weil Ware, as pictured, on the underside along with the number 1933. CONDITION USED - MINOR FLAWS The vintage ginger or temple jar is in very nice vintage condition overall. The only flaws I find are a couple of tiny brownish dots on the textured Ming Tree designs and some crazing on the underside bottom of the jar. No other problems. SHIPPING The jar will weigh about 4 pounds when carefully packaged for secure shipping.
