I met Holly Stevens when she first visited my antiquarian bookstore (Elliot's Books) on Broadway in New Haven around 1962. We were good friends when she died in 1992. She suggested that her son, Peter, choose me as the agent for the sale of her father's art collection, books & furnishings. As I approach the age of 92, I am just now focusing on Stevens' furnishings. Until now, I have been selling his books and objets d'art that Holly did not sell to the Huntington Library. A letter of provenance will follow the purchase.
