Description: Up for sale is a Washburn KC-40V electric guitar in good condition. Based on the serial number I believe it is a 1990 model. The finish was originally a purple/black desert crackle. There are some finish scratches on the body. I bought it around 1996 primarily to strip it down and refinish in natural wood. I clear coated it (not a super professional job) however its difficult to tell from any distance. This guitar has the original Washburn pickups which actually sound quiet nice imo. It has the Washburn Floyd Rose licensed 600-S tremolo system which does NOT include the whammy bar. Tone and volume knobs have been replaced (much nicer!). All electronic parts such as volume, tone pots, and pickup switch control with wiring was replaced with RS Guitarworks components as the original wiring all went south. Frets are in good condition with plenty of life left. I would say the neck is a slim c shape (22 fret) and very easy to play on. The action is low and fast. I've always enjoyed this guitar but the time has come to let some go and hopefully someone can continue to enjoy it for years to come. I'm including a brand new quality Gator gig bag. Please feel free to ask any questions! I only ship within the continental United States.
