Description: Description Nuno Bettencourt was influenced by Eddie Van Halen and others, and incorporated funk elements into his band Extreme, establishing the funk metal genre. In the 1990s, Washburn released his signature model N4, which has remained his trademark to this day.This is the second model to use a Padauk body, following the first model with an alder natural oil finish, and was the main model used on the tour for the album III Sides to Every Story.At the time, there were concerns about the health of the craftsman during the wood processing stage, so production of the first model ended after just two years. A small-sized body that is easy to handle and well-balanced! The body and neck are made of Padauk, which has a thick, edgy sound, the fingerboard is made of ebony, and the frets are the familiar Jambo type, allowing you to play with a light touch. The biggest feature of this model is the use of a neck joint method called Stephen's Extended Cutaway, which overturns the conventional concept. The unique shape with the heel part carved out allows you to play easily to the last fret!! The pickups are Seymour Duncan Sh-1n 59 in the front and Bill Lawrence L500 in the rear, which is a classic combination for the N4 series!!The front has a sweet and warm sound, and the rear has a sharp and responsive sound. The bar pole piece means that there is little loss of output when choking. The bridge is equipped with an OEM Schaller S-FRT2 made in Germany, which is made in the same factory as the original Floyd Rose, but the base plate is thick, has a lot of bass components, and has excellent sustain. The 6th string saddle mount screws have been replaced. Because it is an OIL finish, there is no paint protection and it is easy to get scratches and dents, but although there are small scratches and dents, they are not noticeable and it is in good condition considering the age.
