Born in 1941, the artist attended the Government College of Arts and Crafts in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. With a rich professional background, he served as an illustrator and visualizer in a renowned multinational advertising firm for an extended period. Additionally, he has designed and illustrated numerous books and journals for leading publications in India. He also dedicated a significant portion of his career to academia, working as a guest lecturer in the Faculty of Visual Art at Rabindra Bharati University in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Also worked as an illustrator at the multinational British advertising firm, S. H. Benson. His achievements include securing the top ten position in the NOMA Children's Book Illustration Contest held in Japan under UNESCO's auspices and earning second place in a national cartoon contest organized by CBT. His works have been showcased in three solo exhibitions held at Chitrokoot Art Gallery and the Academy of Fine Arts. Additionally, he has participated in numerous national and international shows, and his paintings are displayed in private collections and gallery collections both in India and abroad.
