Takes 3 AAA batteries which I have included. When turned on and wound up, the ball lights up and also one of the signs. The colored glitter swirls and Auld Lang Syne plays. Excellent condition. Used once or twice. Comes in original box with a styrofoam form to hold the globe . It is extremely heavy. If you have any problems with your purchase, please let me know so I can make it right.
