Wearable Vintage Silk Kimono with Stippled Roundels in Yellow, Green, and Black

Description: This is a charming vintage silk komon kimono with stippled roundels in yellow and green, on a stippled black background. It is in excellent, wearable condition. I was not able to find any real issues except for a few light spots on the upper lining. This charming piece is 57 inches long (145 cm), and the sleeve length is 18 inches (46 cm). The measurement from the nape of the neck to the wrist (yuki) is 24.5 inches (62 cm), and the shoulder-to-shoulder is23.5 inches (59.5 cm). The hem width is 54.5 inches (138 cm). This kimono has a cheery feel to it. The entire design of the kimono has a sort of stippled effect, as you can see in picture 10. The green and yellow roundels provide a bright note to this sweet kimono that is enhanced with the black background. The lower lining (hakkake) is a lovely red brown and I think that an obi matching the lining color would be quite pretty. Although a little on the small side, this pretty komon would be wonderful to wear on informal occasions. Because this is a vintage item with some slight imperfections, it is being sold as is. Please read the description carefully and look at the pictures closely before bidding on or buying this kimono. Many old kimono have been in storage with mothballs for decades and may have a slight smell. We try to air them out, but sometimes there is a residual smell. Japanese kimono and other clothing items run smaller in size than Western clothing. It is also important to remember that Japanese kimono are often rather long in order to allow for an ohashori.
