These extremely useful hitches utilize a keyed lock assembly to hold and secure the adjustable hitch slide in its desired position. Also included is a reversible tow ball that features both 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch tow balls. Switching is easy, just flip the adjustable slide, lock into place with the included pin lock and dust cover and you are ready to tow. This makes these quality hitches ideal if you have multiple towing trailers and don't want to have to switch out hitches and tow balls every time you need to switch trailers. NOTES When drivers turn their tow-ball around in a non-towable position, they are therefore not in a towing state of mind and potentially less cautious driving over bumps and dips. In this situation, often the lower ball will come in contact with the road and can cause damage to the ball and/or hitch. Due to the extended length of the drop given by the extra 3″ created by the hanging tow ball, the 180 Hitch MUST NOT be turned around and placed in a non-towable position.
