Description: Purchased a lot of office supplies at an estate sale and this was in there. Based solely on what it was lotted up with I think it was on a desk for display or perhaps to organize books/papers. It weight about 1.5 lbs .. so not super heavy like some decorative book ends and there is only about 2 inches between the welded horseshoes so it wouldn’t be able to organize much. On the underside it reads: Olsen’s Art Sculpture by Virgil K. Olson Fort Ransom ND 58033. Did a quick Google search and it appears the artist passed away in 2019 .. and Fort Ransom ND has only about 80 residents. Fort Ransoms claim to fame is an annual rodeo which is well attended. That’s all I know the rest of the investigation is up to you.
