Click images to enlarge Description This VIBRANT cotton 1880's/90's hourglass/sawtooth/"Aunt Mary's Double Nine Patch" quilt top has hand pieced blocks treadle machine stitched together, with a variety of late nineteenth century fabrics, including cadet blue, copper madder prints and mourning prints. The top came out of east central Indiana. It measures a generous 90" X 92" and is in excellent, unwashed condition, with the occasional age stain (see pics) and no wear. The top feels strong and sturdy overall. The color arrangement of the blocks creates a secondary diagonal design when you stand back to look at the quilt top.
