Book's contents include introduction by J.H. McDaniel, short biography, letters to various important figures of the day by Garrison, articles from the 40th anniversary of the Nation magazine, Poems, and Editorials and Essays. Born in Cambridgeport, Massachusetts in 1840, son of William Lloyd Garrison, he graduated from Harvard University in 1861, and was a author and editor, most notably of the oldest continuously published weekly magazine, The Nation, from 1865-1906. He helped establish The Nation with E.L. Godkin, the publisher being Joseph H. Richards. He lived from 1840-1907. The book is in excellent condition for the age, great collectible condition!
