West Bend & Salton Popcorn Makers/Coffee Bean Roasters, like Poppery II 2

Description: Get two for $18.West Bend Hot Air Corn Popper. Cat. No. 82405. 1200 watts. Made in U.S.A.Salton Model PC-2 Corn Popper. 1200 watts. Made in China. Same design features as West Bend Poppery II, that is often specifically named for use as a coffee bean roaster. They have the two characteristics needed for a hot air popcorn popper to make a good coffee bean roaster: 1) 1200 watts of power or more 2) hot air blows out from the sides swirling the beans around, NOT from the bottom. Look at pictures of the West Bend Poppery II for comparison. I have a Poppery II listed also (until it sells), with all the same picture views, so take a look if you are interested. Examine the pictures to determine the condition of the items. Note that the Salton has a chip in the top black plastic as shown in the close up picture. These are two of half a dozen (actually 7) of various models (always with the two characteristics listed above) that I picked up at Thrift Stores over the years for my wife to roast coffee beans. On roasting day she would have two or three going at the same time (on different electrical circuits). She no longer roasts her own beans. (We have a nephew that opened a coffee shop and roasts beans for her in his commercial coffee roaster.) So I will sell the hot air corn poppers as we work on decluttering our home.
