Description: Made for West Elm, this is a faceted glass vase reminiscent of the Battuto vases from Murano, Venice so called because they resembled hammered copper or silver vases (battuto means hammered in Italian6). At Murano, this was a very labor intensive work because the vase was manual etched to create all the "hammer dents". In this case the etching is bigger and more of a honeycomb. The effect is still very striking creating a play of shifting translucency resulting in a wonderful sculptural piece. No damage. 10 1/4" tall. 6 1/4" wide
