Description: Whites of Utica Stoneware Crock. #8. Bumpy texture with 4 leaves on stem in blue. Measures approximately 8" tall to rim x 8 3/4" wide at bottom. Weighs just under 7 pounds. Item has been used and does show wear. Incomplete - missing the lid and the handle. There are a few chips (picture #s 13-17). There is a chip out of the bottom (+/- 1 3/8" long x 1/4" wide; pictures 9, 10 & 13). There are chips near both holes where the handle would have went (picture #s 14-15). There is a chip on the inside rim (picture #16). The blob of green glaze on the side has a chip (picture #17). Both blobs of green glaze have crazing (picture #17-18). The inside walls have crazing (picture #s 19-20). There are a few areas on the area where the lid would rest that look like cracks, unknown if natural to process but noted (picture #s 21-22 ). Item is generally clean, but as this is a used item, should not be considered pristine and new owner may wish to do further nook and cranny cleaning/dusting/polishing. See pictures for more details.
