I remember seeing these Cats for the very 1st time at Trax in Charlottesville, VA on 11/1/91. And regardless of an absolutely mind-blowing set ( Proving Ground - Porch Song - Jack - Walkin' - Pigeons - I Am Not Alone - Conrad - Rock - Mr. Soul - Wrangler, etc.! ), it was one of my Funniest ! Live Concert experiences! Towards the back end of the 2nd set, I was boogieing-away up in the front, and all of a sudden - I felt a " swappp ! " right-between the Eyes ! I was like What ??!? And I looked up, and Dave Schools was looking right-at-me & Smiling ! He shot out his pick & hit me dead-smack - dead-center ! - right between the Eyes !! So, as any smart Fan would do - I looked on the ground, saw the pick & put it in my pocket ! I smiled back at Schools and he kind of gave me the " You Alright Man ? - We all Good ? look ". Classic. I gave him the 10-4 ! - and next thing I knew the belted out a Smokin' Hot ! " Makes Sense To Me ! ". From that day on, I have loved & cherished my Widespread - and see them whenever I can, even though it's often a stretch to do so when you are based West Coast. But on that topic ... they Always ! treat the Cuthbert Amp. in Eugene with the utmost respect it-deserves - after all, these Boys are a bunch of old Dead Fans too, right ? Ha ! I've caught them religiously in Eugene in '93, '98, '03, '06, '10 & '11 - and this Shirt was from the Last Eugene Show ! Well, hopefully that is not the case ultimately. The fact is, J.B. has more Soul ! in his little-pinky finger then most Musicians could-ever Dream of ... and I'll stand forever-firm by that claim. Well, here it is the " Official !
