Description: Up for sale is, "Message of the President of the United States, Communicated to the Two Houses of Congress, on the Relations of the United States to Spain By reasons of Warfare in the Island of Cuba" published in 1898 by the Government Printing Office in Washington. This original document is essentially McKinley's request to Congress to declare war on Spain. It is in soft boards which is basically, on the front, the title page of document. Document itself numbers 14 pages. It is as published and does not appear to have ever been bound or connected to any other documents. Rare with the covers and in this form. Overall in Very good condition with wear, light browning, small dings and rips at edge of document. Some disconnect is occurring at spine area. A great piece of American history.
