Description: Unique and beautiful vintage linen handkerchief with a Christmas or Winter theme. The hankie is bordered in blue scalloped edge and holly leaves at decorate the corners. The main corner has an embroidered snowman with a blue hat and holly bouquet and he's carrying a little red box and a bottle of champagne. There's a beautiful spotted faun at the snowman's side. The piece is 9 inches square and folds into a small, 4 1/2 inch triangle that's suitable for a jacket or coat pocket. This handkerchief has been in my possession for over 60 years and even though in excellent condition with no rips, tears or holes, the linen is slightly discolored (yellowed) in parts because but does not distract from the overall charm. The linen itself, is a fine, slightly sheer weave. Overall, this is a beautiful and unique vintage item for a child, a woman, a hankie collector or anyone who loves a little thing of beauty from the past.
