Description: This sculpture is made using 100% bare or enamel coated wire. The wire has been reclaimed or recycled from outdated or mis ordered materials. I find a bit of the hidden beauty in that wire and bring it forward. The tree almost becomes what it wants to be as I work on it. There isn't another like it and will never be another like it. The tree "grows" as I twist the wire and only when I finish it reveals itself. The base is driftwood collected by me along rivers and lakes. The wood is thoroughly cleaned and fumigated ensuring that no insects remain. Then I seal it using recycled poly urethane. Each piece is signed and dated using (of course) wire. I have been making them for over 50 years now I have been fortunate enough to sell every one except for the willow I made for my wife in 1985. These trees make a nice addition to any decor and also make a good conversation piece. Get one for yourself and enjoy it for many years to come.
