Description: 1940s Women's Dressing Gown in remarkable condition. I believe this robe was hand made and is of rayon satin. It is very slinky and is fairly heavy. Please look at all the pictures- the last ones are of the flaws which are: 1. loose seams on the fore arms, 2. some marks (I did not clean this so I don't know for sure if they will come out), 3. the facing and the waist has pulled out of the seam, 4. and holes in the hem. The holes could be removed/hidden by hemming the robe; the top-most hole is about 5" up from the bottom. Overall, I think it is in incredible condition for being 80 years old and the flaws could be repaired. It is off-white/cream with pale grayish green stripes on the upper sleeve. It has covered buttons in the same fabric with fabric loop closures. It is roughly a modern XS, possibly an XXS, but please go by the measurements. Measurements are approximately: Underarm-Underarm: 30" Waist at the bottom of the buttons: 25" Length Shoulder to Hem: 56" Across the top of the shoulders: 15" While I have just started selling on eBay, I have been buying on eBay for years and am an experienced Etsy seller. My Etsy store (12HoursofDarkness) has been open for 12 years; it has 5 stars and over 300 sales. Before leaving negative or neutral feedback, please contact me. I strive to be painfully accurate with my descriptions and photos, and I am happy to answer questions or provide more photos before you purchase something. All measurements are approximate.
