As I flipped through each book, I found no writing or torn pages, except for book 17, which has three sets of initials on the inside cover. One book has a bookstore stamp across the outside top pages. Three books have minor cover damage, as seen in the pictures above. One book is in large print. All but seven are first printings. Overall, this is a very nice set that will give hours of enjoyment.
