With no need to recess this unit or buy a separate recess kit, installation is much less expensive and much less difficult. Another unique feature of the Model L is the hidden switch that allows the owner the option of having the heating element activate with the motor or remain off during the drying cycle. With this one variable, the owner can customize dry time, comfort, & energy consumption to fit any specific application. With the heating element set to automatically activate, the Model L is capable of taking the user’s hands from wet to dry in 60% less time than leading competitive surface-mounted ADA dryers). Durable and vandal-resistant, the Model L-973 SLIMdri has a stainless steel cover that is brushed to produce a satin-like finish. Coated with a patented anti-microbial, anti-bacterial additive (called SteriTouch), the cover is resistant to the growth of harmful organisms such as bacteria, mold, and fungi. The fixed nozzle is constructed of die-cast zinc alloy and finished with high-gloss black epoxy paint. The universal voltage, brush-type motor operates just as efficiently & effectively when connected to110V-120V, 208V, or 220V-240V. At an impressive speed of 13,000 RPM, it is capable of producing an air velocity of 12,320 linear feet per minute or 140 mile per hour (70 CFM air volume) and a temperature increase of 48°F at hand level (approx. 4in. below nozzles). Both the motor and the 400watt heating element (if set by the owner in the ON position) are activated automatically by an infrared sensor. Dry time varies on the variable settings, but the length of the run time is determined by the user. As soon as the user's hands are removed from under the unit, the drying cycle is terminated.
