The back of the book has articles on The International Union of Railways, Railroad Associations throughout the world, Automatic Mechanisation of Railway Marshalling Yards, Centralised Traffic Control CTC (telecommunications, dispatcher stations, a history to the current time period). A neat book to step back in time and see how the rail industry was during the time period. There are ads for Railway Rolling Stock, wagon bearings, diesel railcards, high-speed electric railway coaches from Japan, General Motors Locomotives, Stone-Carrier air conditioning equipment, SIG, Holman Tractair, Cambrian Rolling Stock, Henschel Locomotives - diesel-hydraulic and diesel-electric, buffers, Kockums Sweden, Wickham of Ware, Railroad Windows, and almost anything train related during the period. Vintage book - don't judge this book by its cover! The exterior of this book has a lot of wear as you can see in the photo. The inside of this book is a wealth of information and the pages are in really great shape for their age. The hardcover has done its job of protecting the contents. The inside pages of the book is in good to very good condition with some yellowing on the edges. The book measures approximately 13 1/4 inches long by 8 3/4 inches wide by 1 1/4 inch tall.
