Description: World's Finest #279 (1982) Vintage Bruce Wayne is Taken in a Wave of Wealthy Kidnappings There has been a recent wave of kidnappings of wealthy men in Gotham City, and during Superman's visit another one takes place. Batman and Superman go to the location of the kidnapping, but the Man of Steel is distracted saving people from a sudden earthquake and the criminal called Captain Cutlass escapes. The two heroes decide to prepare a trap for the crooks and book a fancy cruise as Bruce Wayne and his "bodyguard," hoping to attract the attention of the kidnappers. Captain Cutlass appears at the scene and kidnaps Bruce Wayne, while his "bodyguard" is knocked unconscious. The distraction gives Clark enough time to switch to Superman and follow Captain Cutlass, who has taken Bruce inside a submarine.
