Description: Offered for sale is this FABULOUS vintage Bakelite bracelet! It is 1" wide and has a 3/8" thick "domed" shape. The bracelet has a 2.5" interior diameter and weighs a chunky 59 grams The bracelet began as a translucent yellow color (See photo #7) that was overdyed an emerald green color. The original green color has darkened to its current midnight green color as the patina has aged. The overdye to the inside edge of the bracelet has faded quite a bit and taken on a greenish/blue/yellow color for some reason:). Once the overdye was applied, the artist got to work on the intricate carvings to create this spectacular design for the bracelet. Be sure to enlarge the photos as they speak better than I can for the artistry employed in making this AMAZING bracelet! This bracelet will surely make its next owner proud to add it to their collection and an instant show stopper when worn! The bracelet is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Positive test for Bakelite using Simichrome polish. (Had to test using a Q-tip to get into the carved crevices where the Bakelite was exposed).
