Description: Original WW1 (1918) British INTELLIGENCE MAP of the ITALIAN FRONT - (GHQ - B.E.F. - ITALY)The map is dated 9th November and records two positions of the frontline. Firstly, as it was on October 23rd 1918 before the final Battle on the Italian Front, and secondly as it was at 3pm on November 4th when the Armistice between Italy and the Austro-Hungarian empire came into force.The map also shows the international boundary between Italy and Austria.Interestingly, it has been field printed by the AP & SS on the back of an Italian military map which has been cut down to fit the smaller mobile presses.
