Description: Original WW2 GERMAN map of SLOVAKIA and some of its borders entitled "LEVOCA (LEUTSCHAU)" It's headed "Nur für den Dienstgebrauch" (equivalent to a "RESTRICTED" British military map). Printed in December 1940. In great condition with some margin trimming having taken place at some point in its history. From a large collection recently sold off by Edinburgh University - hence ink stamping to margin. (Following both World Wars, the government distributed excess stocks of Allied maps, along with captured enemy examples, to various national institutions such as libraries, museums, universities etc.) Will be shipped as per its existing fold lines.
